Trinity is a lively and loving congregation of approximately 600 members of all ages. We are known for being "kid-friendly" and offering excellent music and preaching in our worship services. The real center of our life together is the love of God, and we hope you will join us as we figure out what it means to be disciples of Jesus Christ.

Trinity began when in 1954 the need for a Presbyterian church between San Mateo and Menlo Park was recognized. In 1955, Trinity was formally chartered with 199 members. The first worship services were held in the American Legion Hall in Redwood City. Groundbreaking at the present site took place in 1956, and in 1958 the ground floor level of the building was dedicated. The Sanctuary level was completed and dedicated in 1965. An education wing was added in 1988.

Several dedicated pastors have led Trinity's congregation. William Summerscales was Trinity's first installed pastor. He was followed by Robert Clapham in 1961. John Shriver was installed in 1972, and Edward Ewart in 1979. In 1996 Mary Graves was called to lead Trinity.

Over the years Trinity has built a reputation for caring about people of all ages. Worship is a highlight, including prayer, superb preaching, joyous music and the regular involvement of our children. Families are nurtured through our Sunday School and through Trinity Presbyterian Nursery School, which has shared our campus for over 40 years. Youth programs for elementary, middle and high school age students attract young people throughout the community. Adults are offered a variety of study experiences both during the week and on Sundays. Seniors from Trinity and beyond meet twice monthly at XYZers (extra Years of Zest) for lunch, speakers and activities. Music is a special ministry at Trinity, providing outstanding opportunities for all ages to praise God in worship, concerts, and on tour. There are opportunities for singers and musicians of all ages.

Nearly all our congregation is involved at Trinity in various ways. Dedicated Elders and Deacons form policy, lead ministry teams and care for our congregation. Ministry team members are the backbone of all programs and events. Even with our rich history, we are still surprised at what happens when we are willing to be lead by the Spirit in ministry here. There are many Sunday School teachers, childcare providers, kitchen workers, ushers, greeters, musicians, volunteer receptionists and others who have helped and continue to help Trinity be the special place it is.
